Pursuant to section 381.0203, F.S., the mission and responsibility of the Central Pharmacy is to support pharmaceutical services provided by county health departments, including pharmaceutical repackaging, dispensing, and the purchase and distribution of immunizations and other pharmaceuticals. Because of these responsibilities, Central Pharmacy is contributing to protecting the public health of our state's citizens.


cGMP

Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) training is provided to bureau staff annually to ensure that drug products consistently meet standards identified in the 21 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). The training consists of an introduction to quality systems, GMPs, a review of pharmaceutical requirements for packaging/labeling, and FDA compliance policy guidelines (CPGs).Good documentation practices (GDPs) and guidelines for electronic records/electronic signatures is also included.
